St. Hagop’s Armenian Church Annual Madagh Picnic in Racine, WI scheduled for June 26, 2022

RACINE, Wis. – This year, the annual picnic of St. Hagop’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Madagh will be held on Sunday, June 26.

Although the church will once again only serve Madagh and Bulghur Pilaf as a take-out/takeout event (rather than their full menu offerings), it will continue with the Sponsor-a-Madagh Item program for anyone wishing to register their donation in memory of a deceased family member or friend.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, contact Zohrab Khaligian at [email protected]. Similar to Madagh 2021, the church will print any donations and messages received before June 1, 2022 on a thank you card which will be distributed with the Madagh Memorial Meal on the day of our event.

Additionally, the church will post any donations and messages received on its Armenian Madagh Picnic Facebook page. The goal is to ensure that the church offers each donor the appropriate name recognition to support this worthwhile annual event.

“On behalf of St. Hagop Armenian Apostolic Church, we would like to thank you in advance for your continued support during these difficult times. Although once again we will not have the opportunity to all gather together as one big Armenian family in Johnson Park this year, our sincere hope and desire is that we can all symbolically “break bread together through our June event to continue our incredible 84-year tradition of family, friends and Armenian hospitality,” Khaligian said. “We served over 300 meals last year.”
