Mrs. Ruth Ann Roam, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 12, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 26, 1937 in St. Louis to William M. and Bertha B. (Sutton) Grant. Ruth was one of the seven children. On July 17, 1954, she married her sweetheart, Douglas E. Roam. They were lucky enough to have three children: Michael, Karen and Dianne. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Ruth was very creative and talented in many areas. She loved the Lord and faithfully served Jesus in many ways, always praying for her loved ones and the church family. Ruth was a dedicated and hardworking member of her church, the Pentecostal Apostolic Church in Elsberry. At family gatherings, she always brought a tray of delicious homemade sugar cookies, creatively decorated. Ruth will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Pastor Doug Roam; her children: Michael (Karen) Roam of Foristell and Karen (Terry) Reese of Foley; her adored grandchildren: Michelle (John) Seabaugh from Jackson, Gabrielle (Andre ‘) Grissom from Indianapolis, IN, Michael Benjamin Reese (fiancee, Jennifer) from Rochester, MN, Sarah (Christopher) Voss from Troy, Mikelle (Steve ) Bailey of Burlington, ND; and one brother, Richard (Nancy) Grant of Potosi. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Seabaugh, Dawson Seabaugh, Christopher Voss, Colton Voss and Levi Bailey; several nieces, nephews, cousins and family from the church.
She was predeceased by her parents; his daughter, Dianne Luckett; and his brothers: William Grant, Alvin Grant, Clyde Grant, Vernon Grant and a sister, Nadine Davis.
