ROSELAND – The Roseland Community Hospital will organize its ninth back-to-school party on Sunday and distribute school supplies.
It will begin at 10 a.m. at 45 W. 111th St. There will be free food, games and live music, according to a press release from Roseland.
Roseland will donate 500 backpacks containing school supplies to students ranging from kindergarten to high school. Backpacks will go to all students in the Roseland area while supplies last.
The hospital will also offer re-entry physical and dental exams to students. Free hair braiding will be provided courtesy of Paul Mitchell School, and gift certificates for free haircuts at Larry’s Barber College will be given out.
Luft Balloons will give away 100 balloons to event attendees and host a “balloon explosion” as part of the festivities.
There will be activities from Olive Harvey College, YMCA, Museum of Science and Industry, Allison’s Infant and Toddler Center, and SGA Youth and Family Services.
Roseland was established in 1924 and provides a range of community health services to residents of the far south, including behavioral health and COVID-19 services.
