Obituary of Jennifer Renee Edwards – Akron Beacon Journal

Jennifer Renee Edwards {Barker} received her angel wings on June 13, 2022.

Jennifer graduated from North High School in 1993, attended the University of Akron where she met her husband Steve, and earned her associate degree from the Akron Institute. She was employed at Signet Jewelers for over 17 years, where many described her as a good friend and the ‘person to talk to’. She was a faithful member of the Zion Apostolic Faith Church, where she received baptism and Christ as her Lord and Saviour.

Jennifer liked to refer to herself as “Queen Bee”; a bit bossy and always determined to succeed despite the challenge. She loved partying with her “friends”, concerts, occasional trips to the local casino, and traveling with her husband and family. Everyone knew that what she loved the most was spoiling “her heart”, nephew Noah.

Jennifer is survived by her one and only true love, husband Stephen K. Edwards; Mother Susan Barker; Sister Lori Barker; nephew Noah Barker; many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as a multitude of friends.

Calling hours will be at the Newcomer Funeral Home located at 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron on Monday, June 20 from 4 to 7. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at Zion Apostolic Faith Church located at 10 W Tallmadge Ave., Akron starting at 11 a.m. with tours an hour before service. No funeral service to follow, as Jennifer chose to be cremated.
