CITY OF DANVILLE: The municipal building and all other government offices in the city of Danville will be closed Thursday for Veterans Day. In addition, the public library and the James F. Ingram Justice Center will be closed. However, Danville Transit will operate and household and yard waste will be collected on Thursday as scheduled. Government offices, the library and the courthouse will reopen on Friday.

BEST TITLES: “All Together Now” presented by Averett’s theater department will feature hit songs from some of Broadway’s greatest musicals, along with songs of hope. This is a fundraiser for the Department of Theater at Averett University. Held at the Pritchett Auditorium at the Violet T. Frith Center for the Fine Arts at 7 pm. Tickets cost $ 10 for adults; $ 8 for students / seniors (60 years and over).

HAM AND EGGS DINNER: The Southern Caswell Ruritan Club, located at 9604 NC Highway 62 South, Burlington, NC, will be holding their annual Ham & Egg Supper, with all the trimmings, starting at 4 p.m. for $ 8. Any profit made will be used to meet as many community needs as possible. The cost is $ 8 and includes scrambled eggs, whole slices of country ham, homemade cookies, red-eye sauce, oatmeal, jams and jellies, and drinks. To eat in or to take away.
