Apart from actors Kunle Afod and few others who posted about the late veteran actor, John Adewumi aka Tafa Oloyede on their Instagram pages, majority of Yoruba Nollywood genre actors kept silent and acted carelessly.
Kemi Filani reports that the actor who died on Tuesday, February 1, will be buried on February 11, 2022.
Alhaji Moruf Lawal, Governor of the Film and Theater Arts Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Osun Chapter, disclosed in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday. in Osogbo.
According to him, the association had made the funeral arrangements with the family.
Lawal said the association would hold an “Artists Day” in honor of the deceased on February 10 in his hometown of Ede from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
He added that a Christian revival program would be held for the deceased on February 10, before he was laid to rest on February 11.
Also speaking, the Association’s Secretary General, Ayo Oladapo, said Christ Apostolic Church, Ori-oke Baba Abiye, Ede, will handle the Christian wake and funeral.
Oladapo said the association’s national chairman, Mr. Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr. Latin, was briefed on the funeral arrangements.
He said TAMPAN would also notify state government officials of the burial arrangements for the deceased.
