MULTITUDES of St. John Apostolic Church from around the world, an Apostolic Church headquartered in Mhondoro, are expected to throng Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on Thursday to welcome renowned gospel musician Mambo Dhuterere.

The revered singer, who is the church’s brand ambassador, has returned from the UK where he performed.

“Church leadership invites members from Harare and surrounding areas to a surprise welcome reception for Mambo Dhuterere at the arrival terminal of RGM International Airport tomorrow, April 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.reads part of a message sent by church leaders.

“Those coming to the front desk should wear their full church regalia as we welcome our brand ambassador. We are all encouraged to come out in large numbers to support our bishop’s vision and make this reception a success.

Led by Dr Sydney Mabhiza, the church has thousands of followers and has branches in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana, among other countries.

The church is also embarking on an ambitious project to ostensibly build a replica of the biblical city of Jerusalem in Mhondoro.

Nicknamed “St John’s City”, the building is built with stones in the same way that Great Zimbabwe was built.
