LINCOLN – Paul and Catherine Lalanne celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 18th. A celebration with their family was held on September 19 at Restaurant Bella in Glendale.
The couple renewed their vows at a mass at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Woonsocket. The celebrant was Reverend Mykhaylo Dosyak. Music was provided by soloist Christina Caprarelli and keyboardist Raffi Rachdouni.
Their 50th anniversary received an apostolic blessing from Pope Francis as well as blessings from Bishop Thomas Joseph Tobin and Bishop Paul Chomnkcky, OSBM, of the Ukrainian Diocese.
Mr. and Mrs. Lalanne were married on September 18, 1971 at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Woonsocket. Reverend Paul Szuflat presided over the ceremony. Ms. Lalanne is the former Catherine Wasylean.
The couple are parents to Michelle Renehan Lalanne of Smithfield and Michael Lalanne of North Providence. They are the grandparents of Matthew and Madeleine Lalanne of North Providence.
Mr. and Mr. Lalanne worked together in their company, CAL Promotional Products in Lincoln. Mr. Lalanne is a Vietnam War Navy veteran. Prior to joining Catherine, Paul worked at Precision Connector Designs in Peabody, Mass. He was a quality assurance supervisor.
The couple have long been parishioners of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of Saint-Michel and also attends Saint-Ambroise Church in Albion, where Mme Lalanne is Eucharistic Minister.
They both love to garden and travel. They are avid readers. Above all, they enjoy spending time with their beloved family and grandchildren, attending their sports events and games.
