Stafford of Seymour took place on Friday December 10, 2021 at the Diggins Apostolic Church. Interment followed at Gentry Cemetery, under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Seymour.
Ms Stafford, 94, died on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour.
She was born on February 10, 1927 in Webster County to King David and Sarah Lela Cook Owens.
She attended Gentry School.
On September 1, 1948, in Imperial, Neb., She married Walter Keith Stafford.
From this union are born five children.
She worked as a waitress at Frisco Eating House in Springfield, was a babysitter for many years, sold Avon, she and Walter ran a convenience store, and retired from Hutchens Industries.
She attended Harvestime Tabernacle Church in Marshfield for many years and had attended Diggins Apostolic Church for the past five years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidery, word searches, puzzles, and gardening.
Her parents predeceased her; one daughter, Anita Joyce Stafford; his brothers, Robert, Hershel, Raymond and Bill Owens; her sisters, Alfreda Emerick and Mildred Sullivan; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Survivors include her husband, Walter; his children, Dale Stafford and his wife Glenda of Rogersville, Diana Satterfield and her husband Jim of Ava, Donnie Stafford and his wife Lynetta and Doris Shover and her husband Steve, all of Seymour; several grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and his brother, Melvin Owens of Seymour.
