Frost Regina is a winter festival that takes place across the city from February 4-13. Because there are a lot of events happening in different locations, we’ve broken down each hub and some of the attractions you can find there. Some rooms are free, others are chargeable.

Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) at Evraz Place

Confederation Park will host activities such as a snow maze, ice sculptures, ice slides and an aboriginal village. Frost on Ice, featuring a performance by Elvis Stojko and Canada Ice Dance Theatre, sold out.

Mosaic Stadium’s Iceville Rink is open Feb. 4-13, except Feb. 11-12, when it’s closed for Frost on Ice rehearsals.

On February 5 at 3 p.m., there will be a skins curling match between Matt Dunstone and two-time world champion Kevin Koe.

Glow, an indoor display of holiday lights will take place inside the International Trade Center. The illuminated displays include recreations of historical landmarks and use a total of 3 million lights.

Musical performances at the Brandt Center will include Dean Brody on February 5 at 8:15 p.m.

Events at REAL will require a Frost Pass, which costs $17 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+), $10 for children (4-12). Children 3 and under are free.

Wascana Center

The Wascana Center crossroads will offer activities such as public skating, dog sledding, and horse and carriage rides. Wascana Center events are free. Participants can also learn to play broom, hockey, sledge hockey and ringette.

The Wascana hub is located along Walter Scott Way, north of Legislative Drive, near Queen Elizabeth II Gardens and Leg Landing.

The area will be closed to vehicular traffic over the weekend.

Downtown

Downtown will feature activities such as Crokicurl, a skating rink at City Square Plaza, snow sculptures, an Aboriginal storyteller and free hot chocolate.

Frost After Dark will feature live bands, DJs and comedy at the Cure Kitchen and Bar, Fat Badger and O’Hanlon’s Irish Pub.

Warehouse District

Frost’s Warehouse hub will be located at The Yards along 1900 Block Dewdney Ave.

Attractions will include fire dancing and live music from Tribal Vibes Wildfire Productions, a live powwow show by Jayda Delorme, ice sculpting demonstrations, a disc golf clinic and The Yards Ice Bar, which will serve local beer and fortified hot chocolate on hand-carved ice. bar.
