County Halloween Events Planned

Halloween arrives on October 31.

In the spirit of the holiday, several churches and local businesses in Jackson County are planning free events open to the public. Here is the information provided to The Tribune:

October 22

4:30-7:00 p.m.: Fall Harvest Feast with candy, food, games, wagon rides, trunk or treat and more outside Reddington Christian Church, 10516 NUS 31, Reddington; children must be accompanied by a parent

October 29

2-4 p.m.: Residents will hand out candy at Seymour Crossing, 707 S. Jackson Park Drive, Seymour

4-6 p.m.: Fall Festival with food, wagon rides, games, pumpkin cake walk, candy and prizes at Central Christian Church, 1434 W. Second St., Seymour; register your family online at subsplash.com/centralchristianchur/lb/ev/+d2qnyny; must be entered to win prizes

6:00-7:30 p.m.: Trunk or Treat in North Parking Lot of First United Methodist Church, Ewing and Fourth Streets, Seymour; there will also be raffles

October 30

4-6 p.m.: trunk or treat at Brownstown Presbyterian Church, 417 N. Elm St., Brownstown

5-7 p.m.: Chest or treat with pulled pork, hot dogs, fries, drinks, wagon rides and candy at First Baptist Church, 505 Community Drive, Seymour

October 31

12:00-6:00 p.m.: Alice in Wonderland’s Very Happy Un-Birthday themed event with cupcakes, candies, refreshments and treats for the kids at Woodforest National Bank inside Walmart Supercenter, 1600 E. Tipton St., Seymour

6-8 p.m.: Trunk or treat with chili, hot dogs, and drinks at First Pentecostal Church of Brownstown, 610 S. Main St., Brownstown

6-8 p.m.: Chili, candy, coffee, popcorn, and hot chocolate at New Life Missionary Baptist Church 709 W. Bridge St., Brownstown

6-8 p.m.: Trunk or treat at Seymour Christ Temple Apostolic, 607 Euclid Ave., Seymour

6-8 p.m.: Chest or treat in the parking lot behind Trinity United Methodist Church off Carter Street in Seymour
